🇶🇦 Qatar · UTC+3 · QAR

Your web & marketingdepartment for Qatar.

Bilingual Arabic/English websites, brand identity, paid advertising, content and custom CRM software for businesses in Doha, Lusail, Al Wakrah and across Qatar — delivered remotely from Dubai.

Yes — Dasma Design Lab serves businesses in Doha and across Qatar from Al Karama, Dubai, entirely online. Qatar is one hour behind Dubai and shares the same bilingual Arabic/English market habits, so a Qatari company gets the same fixed written price, the same two-week delivery target and full ownership of its domain, code and data. What changes is local: .qa domains through the CRA, Qatari payment gateways settling in riyals, and an audience that is largely expatriate at the till but Arabic at the decision-making table.

How does working with a Dubai team look from Doha?

Dubai is UTC+4 and Doha is UTC+3, so for your whole working day we are one hour ahead. Most Qatari businesses work Sunday to Thursday and the UAE works Monday to Friday, which leaves four full days of overlap; we book Qatar kickoff and review calls Monday to Thursday and keep WhatsApp as the running channel.

  • Kickoff on video (30–45 minutes): pages, languages, approvals and the two-week target.
  • Shared folder for your logo, photos, Arabic and English text and commercial registration details.
  • Staging link within the first week, so you review the real site on your phone in Doha.
  • Approvals by WhatsApp — a voice note or a one-line reply moves the project forward.

No travel is needed in either direction. Doha and Dubai are an hour's flight apart if you ever want to meet, but none of our process depends on it. Every account — domain, hosting, Google and Meta ad accounts, analytics — is created in your company's name, and we hand over the code and data at launch.

What is different about building a website for the Qatar market?

Qatar is a compact, high-income market with its own registry and its own payment rails. Confirm current requirements with the authorities named below before relying on them.

  • .qa domains. The .qa and .قطر domains are managed by the Qatar Domains Registry under the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), and registration generally requires a Qatari commercial registration or trade licence. A .com can launch immediately and a .qa can be added once the paperwork is in place.
  • Payments in QAR. Qatari consumers expect to pay in riyals with local cards and Apple Pay. Common gateways include QNB's merchant gateway, Dibsy and Skipcash; your bank will usually have a preferred option. Prices on a Qatar store should be shown in QAR, not AED or USD.
  • Language mix. Qatar has a very high expatriate share, so English carries most everyday commerce. Arabic remains essential for Qatari-owned companies, government and semi-government buyers, tenders and anything that needs to look established. Most of our Qatar sites are bilingual with the default language chosen by who actually buys.
  • Data protection and e-commerce rules. Qatar has a personal data privacy law and an e-commerce framework administered through the relevant ministry, including a trust-mark scheme for online stores. We build the privacy policy, consent and terms pages to fit; confirm the current obligations with your adviser.

Design-wise Qatar favours restraint: maroon and white carry national weight, and Qatari audiences respond to clean, premium layouts over loud promotional ones.

Which services do Qatar businesses most often take?

  1. A bilingual company website for contractors, consultancies, clinics, real estate and trading firms that want a credible presence for Qatari and expatriate customers alike — web design.
  2. Google Ads and Meta Ads targeted to Doha and the municipalities around it, in English and Arabic, with conversion tracking into WhatsApp and calls — paid advertising.
  3. Brand identity that works in both scripts and looks right next to the established Qatari brands your clients already trust — brand strategy & identity.
  4. Content and social management for restaurants, cafés, fitness studios and retailers in Doha, Lusail and The Pearl — content & social.
  5. Custom CRM and ERP for contracting and trading companies that run quotes, orders and site teams across spreadsheets today — custom software.

Businesses that would rather have one team own all of it take the full-service marketing retainer, which includes Google Business Profile, CRM, tracking and monthly reporting.

How do pricing and payment work between Qatar and Dubai?

We quote a fixed written price in AED before work starts. The Qatari riyal and the UAE dirham are both pegged to the US dollar, so the rate barely moves: 1 AED is roughly 0.99 QAR, close enough that an AED quote and a QAR quote are almost the same number. Treat the figures as approximate and check your bank's rate and transfer fee.

Typical GCC market ranges for websites:

  • One-pager — from AED 1,500 (≈ QAR 1,485)
  • Brochure site, one language — from AED 4,000 (≈ QAR 3,960)
  • Bilingual Arabic/English business site — from AED 9,000 (≈ QAR 8,910)
  • E-commerce store with a Qatari gateway — from AED 15,000 (≈ QAR 14,850)

Brand identity, advertising management, content, custom software and the full-service retainer are on our pricing page. Payment is by international bank transfer from your Qatar account; most clients pay a deposit at kickoff and the balance at launch. Rush delivery within three days carries a fee.

Arabic, English or both for a Qatar business?

Both, in most cases — but the default matters. A café in Msheireb or a fitness studio in West Bay selling mainly to expatriates should open in English with a complete Arabic version one tap away. A contractor, a law firm or a supplier bidding to Qatari-owned groups and government bodies should open in Arabic, or at least present Arabic with equal weight on the landing page.

Whichever way round, the Arabic is written in clear Modern Standard Arabic for a Gulf reader, the layout is genuinely right-to-left, and the English is written for the international audience Qatar actually has — not translated from the Arabic. Our note on bilingual Arabic/English websites covers the mechanics.

Questions people ask

Can you register a .qa domain for my company?
Yes, provided your company meets the Qatar Domains Registry's requirements under the CRA — generally a Qatari commercial registration. We register it in your name so you own it. If the paperwork is not ready, we launch on .com and add .qa later. Confirm current rules with the registry.
Which payment gateway should a Qatar online shop use?
QNB's merchant gateway, Dibsy and Skipcash are the usual options, all settling in QAR with local cards and Apple Pay. We recommend based on your bank and volumes, and integrate it so the merchant account stays in your name.
Do we have to meet in person before you start?
No. Kickoff, reviews and approvals all run over video and WhatsApp, and the whole process is built for it. If you prefer to meet, Doha and Dubai are an hour apart by air — but no client has needed to.
Do I pay in QAR or AED?
We quote in AED. Your bank converts at its rate (1 AED ≈ 0.99 QAR), so the two figures are almost identical. The price is fixed and written before we start; most Qatar clients pay a deposit at kickoff and the balance at launch.
